The South Africa women’s national cricket team named the Proteas is currently taking part in the 2018 ICC women’s world T20, in the West Indies.
So far the South African cricket team has won their opening match against Sri Lanka winning by 7 wickets but suffered a narrow defeat at the hands of the host and previous tournament champions, West Indies losing by 25 runs.
The Proteas will next take on England, 16 November in a match they will have to win to progress out of the Group. Another BRICS nation taking part in the tournament is India. India so far dominated their group only positioned second due to a smaller points tally to Australia.
India and Australia are starting to look like favourites to winning the tournament 17 November both India and Australia will face each other, with the winner topping the group as well as being tip as possible winner of the T20 world cup.
