Russian foreign Minister, Sergey Lavrov and his Brazilian counterpart, Aloyslo Nunes met last week Thursday in Moscow. Both Lavrov and Nunes expressed hopes for the extension of bilateral strategic relations, says Russia’s Foreign Ministry.
The Foreign Ministers exchanged memos of congratulations of the 190 anniversary of diplomatic ties. Deputy Foreign Minister, Sergey Ryabkov met with Brazil’s ambassador to Russia on Thursday and exchanged greetings.
“Sergey Lavrov underlined that the comprehensive strengthening of Russian-Brazilian relations is among the invariable priorities of Russia’s foreign policy and expressed hope for the continued deepening of the bilateral strategic partnership formalised in 2002 in the interests of the people of the two countries and strengthening security in Latin America and all over the world,” the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
Brazil’s Foreign Minister further expressed hopes of enhancing the Brazil dialogue in Russia and in the BRICS bloc.
