The European Union is planning on engaging with India to increase cooperation in their military relations. India and the EU share common interests – terrorism, extremism as well as recognition a multi polar world these new military ties will become crucial.
The cooperation will include exchange of experience exchange of experience in training, capability development, participation in missions and operations, and research into new defence systems. India is also expected to have a more prominent role in the UN, G20, the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) and the Global Counter-terrorism Forum in the future.
India is key ally when it comes the South Asia region with its large population, as well as it booming economy there are many opportunities for regional support and cooperation.
