Global entrepreneurship week (GEW) is an event which promotes innovators, job creators and the people who establish start-ups to meet, network and test their own against other entrepreneurs and innovators.
The South African edition of GEW started 12-16 November 2018, @22OnSloane in Bryanston, the first day of the event started with a Policy Day, the second day was the Agro-processing and Manufacturing Day, today is the Microsoft Tech Day, taking place on Thursday is Youth & Social Entrepreneurship Day ending on Friday with a Fun Day.
The Global Entrepreneurship Week provides an opportunity for interested parties to gain mentors, join boot camps, and attend seminars in order to provide those with the full experience of having a start-up company according to genglobal.org.
The goal of GEW is to inspire people to consider the path of entrepreneurship, and learn the elements needed to be successful. There 35000 events of this kind which all take place globally at the same time, with the purpose of creating interactions between people across the world.
GEW hopes by promoting entrepreneurship and start-ups, as this may help alleviate problems that people face as well as the problems their respective countries are facing. GEW wants to globalize the idea of making a start-up for the ordinary person who is not entrepreneurial inclined.
