India’s industry power house Srei is expected to enter into a new energy and hydro-carbon partnership with Russia. There is a large amount of trade potential that is untapped by both India and Russia with current trade worth $ 7.5 billion in 2017.
Srei is already looking into Russian opportunities in infrastructure and acquisitions as well as getting funding from Vnesheconombank (a development bank in Russia). The funding will further advance cooperation between the two countries.
Srei is also looking to collaborate with Russia in artificial intelligence, 3D, printing, and robotic as well as an export centre and export equipment. The company has quite a large network, 30 years’ experience in the infrastructure sector. The industrial major is also willing to customise it offerings to Russia and allowing for local production in India.
