Russia’s Vladimir Putin and Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi held the annual India-Russia summit today. The summit led to eight signed agreements, including India’s human space mission project, Gaganyaan.
Trusted official sources confirmed that the two leaders signed $5 billion S-400 air defence system deal in conclusion of the meeting at Hyderabad House.
India’s PM said in a media statement that, the talks between him and President Putin have a given a new direction to the Russia-India bilateral strategic partnership.
According to Times of India pacts on were also signed in the field of space, nuclear energy and railways. “A crucial MoU was signed between India Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and the Federal Space Agency of Russia on joint activities in the field of human spaceflight project, Gaganyaan,” reports the Times of India.
