Russia to host 2019 woman’s boxing championship

The International Boxing Association (AIBA) has awarded Russia the right to host the 2019 woman’s boxing championship. The Russian city Ulan-Ude will be the host city of the boxing show piece; AIBA has stated that Russia still has to submit some documents but should still go through.

Russia was also selected as the host country for the men’s boxing championship with Sochi being the host city. The Woman’s Championships is expected to take place in October, at the Ulan-Ude Sports Complex, which has a capacity of 350o people . The Boxing Federation of Russia also welcomed the news and stated its readiness to host the best possible event as reported by insidethegames.biz.

The host of this event comes after the Anti-doping agency lift Russia 3 year Suspension, as well as Russia successfully hosting the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
