South Africa announces easier visa arrangements for India, China

South Africa’s Department of Home Affairs announced easier visas for China and India. The amendments to the visa regulations are said to be part of the country’s President, Cyril Ramaphosa stimulus package.

South Africa’s Minister of Home Affairs, Melusi Gigaba held a press briefing in Pretoria, yesterday to announce changes to visa requirements.

The amendments include an update of visa requirements for business people from China and India. Business people from the two countries will find it easy to get South African visas. According to the Minister the business people will be “eligible for a 10-year multiple-entry visa, with five days needed for their application”.

The minister stressed further said that the country was confirming negotiations regarding visa waiver for countries like Ghana, Cuba, Palestine, Kuwait, the UAE and Morocco.
