Buy Local Summit 2019 underway

The 8th proudly SA buy local summit kicked off yesterday at the Sandton Convention Centre. The Summit Expo which showcases local innovators, business leaders, and government. It is free for the general public to come to see and support South African made products and businesses.

The expo will feature more than 200 Proudly South African member companies showcasing their innovative local products and services. It is aimed to encourage people attending to experience what South Africa has to offer as well as network and developed suppliers.

The Gauteng Province spent R22 Billion on the procurement of goods and services from local businesses said Gauteng Enterprise Propeller CEO Leah Manenzhe.

Proudly South African Buy Local Summit & Expo

The Proudly South African Buy Local Summit and Expo 2019 will be taking place 12-13 March at the Sandton Convention Centre. The expo which has been running for 7 years, will expose local products and business to buys from the public and private sector as well as consumers.

The expo is exclusive to Proudly South Africa members, exhibiting 200 locally made products. It is purposed to encourage citizens to buy locally made products, re-industrialization, create job and create a market place for South Africa products and Small, Medium and Micro-sized Enterprises (SMMEs). It further aims to provide South African made products and SMME’s access to already existing markets. The summit also features a furniture design competition. 

The South African Premiere Business Awards in partnership with DTI, Proudly SA and Brand SA, best businesses and brands in South Africa, will also be hosted at the summit.
