Turkey’s tourism cooperation with Russia and China to yield 10billion


Russia, Turkey, China and Iran will cooperate in the tourism sector amidst U.S. economic threats.

Turkey will welcome approximately 6 million tourists from Russia in the second half of the year, while the number of tourists from China and Iran is also expected to double.

There is an expectation of more than 12 million tourists from China, Russia and Iran this year, which is estimated to contribute more than $10billion to the Turkish tourism sector.

Russia, China and Iran have been supporting the Turkish tourism sector despite the U.S. economic threats. Russia’s President Vladimir Putin recently told President Recep Tayyip Erdogan that approximately 6 million Russian tourists will be visiting the country at the of the year. Turkey has already welcomed 2 million tourists in the first six months of this year. The total number of Russian tourists visiting Turkey in 2018 will reach an all-time record of 8 million.

The Chinese culture and tourism ministry has had talks with Iran and China travel agencies .The ministry expects 4 million tourists from the two countries to visit the Turkey at the end of this year.

China has declared 2018 “the year of Turkey”.

Turkey’s culture and tourism ministry expects at least 2 million tourists to visit Turkey next year.
