The World Bank has praised India for its renewable energy efforts – which have allowed the country to lower its solar prices to record low prices.
The World Bank report titled “Regulatory Indicators for Sustainable Energy (RISE) 2018, measures global progress on sustainable energy policies” was released on 24th Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP24).
The report details that progress was being made with regards to energy efficiency and that a number of countries had started creating advance frameworks for sustainable energy.
India was one of the countries with large population making great strides towards renewable energy. The report also indicated that even though great strides have been made, more will needed to be done to prevent permanent damage to global climate.
